Pond Hockey is the first casual game developed by the Crowded Games community.
Pond Hockey is a funny family style, slapstick (pun intended) casual arcade style hockey game. You can play with up to 4 players over XBOX Live Arcade, with entertaining game modes where there are no rules and half the fun is the havoc you create for your opponents!
We're in heads down development to show the demo to Microsoft ... they are looking for "family oriented sports titles" for Live Arcade, and the important thing we're focusing on in the demo is the gameplay. We've finished four player models (the Janitor, the Mexican Wrestler, the Fat Boy, and the Red Neck), along with their corresponding hockey sticks. Here's a model of the Janitor's broomstick a.k.a. hockey stick:
We've also finished the first hockey pond environment, with a couple of the characters skating around on the surface ... we're just waiting to hook the animations into the 3D models and finish the model light rendering and we'll get our first real look at what the game feels like. Simply put ... many of the base assets are complete (or near complete) .. now it's time to put 'em together!
